The dormitory lights flicker during the midnight

shift. Nurse Elena Voss checks the supply closet,

finds a locked drawer. Inside, a leatherbound

journal dated 1923, pages filled with coded

symbols. The last entry reads: "The bloodline

must end here." She pockets it, unaware the lock

is now rusted shut behind her.

The next morning, a student collapses in the

library. His veins turn black, skin blistering.

Medical records show no history of illness.

Elena recognizes the symptoms from the journal—

the purge. She searches the archives, finds a

1947 article about a "mysterious

outbreak" that

vanished from public records. A rule emerges: no

one speaks of the event after midnight.

At night, the campus power dies. Elena hears

whispers in the hallway. She follows them to the

old chemistry lab, where a group of students

kneel around a circle of candles. They chant in

a language she doesn’t recognize. One of them,

Jordan, meets her gaze and says, "You shouldn’t

be here." The candles flare, then go out. The

next day, Jordan is missing.

Elena traces the journal’s symbols to a hidden

chamber beneath the library. It contains a vault

with a single name etched into the wall: Dr.

Lyle Harrow. The curse, she learns, was placed

on the university by a disgraced professor who

believed the school would become a breeding

ground for corruption. The only way to break it

is to find the original bloodline and perform a

ritual at dawn.

She locates the last descendant—a quiet student

named Claire, who has been having nightmares of

fire and water. They meet in the observatory,

where Claire reveals she’s seen the same symbols

in her dreams. Together, they return to the

chamber, but the door is sealed. A new rule

bites: the ritual can only be performed if the

bloodline accepts the curse willingly.

At dawn, Elena stands before the vault. Claire

steps forward, hands trembling. She speaks the

words from the journal, and the chamber shudders.

The walls crack, revealing a hidden room with a

mural of Harrow standing over a crowd. The curse

lifts, but the cost is immediate: Claire

vanishes, leaving only her notebook behind. The

university reopens, but the students now

remember nothing of the events. Elena keeps the

journal, waiting for the next cycle to begin.
